  1. LIBRARY:

Children should read Reader’s Digest, books, magazines, periodicals, and newspapers available in the library to improve their English and ideas. We also have Library Classes for all levels monitored by a Librarian. Students mostly choose the story and adventure-related books.

  1. LABORATORIES :

Playpen has the following Laboratories facility:

  1. STUDENT SUPPORT:

Students of Senior Classes are provided with the following items while they apply for Local or International Colleges/Universities. In the Recommendation Letters, their results and extracurricular activities are greatly highlighted and emphasized.

  1. EXAMINATION

The School Academic Year is divided into two Semesters. A formal written examination is taken at the end of each Semester. Students have to attain the required passing marks in the Core Subjects to be considered for promotion to the next class.

  1. DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE :

Any act of misconduct or indecent behaviour will lead to suspension or expulsion, depending on the seriousness of an offence.

A disciplinary committee comprising the Senior School Management and Teachers hears, conducts and decides on behavioural issues taking place during school hours and takes necessary measures accordingly.

Parents must emphasize upon their children to observe the school rules strictly.

  1. COUNSELLOR

STUDENT COUNSELLOR: A School designated member of the Faculty is always on standby to answer any query or provide/give advice or support to our students as and when they may require.

CAREER COUNSELLOR: The Senior Vice-Principal and Teacher In-Charge is always available for our students to give guidance and advice related to their choice of careers, university applications, procedures and guidelines they may require to help them embark on higher studies at home and abroad.

  1. THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH’S AWARDS ( D.E.A):

Like many other schools in Bangladesh and abroad, we have also introduced the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award’s Programme for our Students of Classes VIII-XII. This is a self-development programme where students will be involved in various challenges, enterprises, and also effort and achievement-based activities around the year.

8.COMMUNITY SERVICE :

Playpen Students are encouraged and motivated to be involved in charity/volunteering/community development based services.

During Winter or Catastrophic Calamities, such as floods, foods and clothes were collected and distributed among the needy people.

  1. ONLINE FACILITY AND PAYMENT:

We have successfully launched our very own Website and School Management System, through which you will have full access to many conveniences and facilities, namely – Your Child’s Academic Performance, progress being made through Class Tests, Class Work Markings, Homeworks, Report Cards, Attendance, Punctuality, Disciplinary Issues etc. They can be aware of Academic Calendar, Upcoming Events also. Most importantly, parents can pay Online Tuition Fees through Ebl (Visa Card, Master Card), DBBL, Nogod, Bikash, Rocket, Upay, Epay and many more. 

  1. ONLINE BANKING:

Parents are required to clear their Child/ Children’s Online Tuition Fees through the Playpen Website. They are to make sure they clear monthly Tuition Fees on time.

  1. WORKSHOP FOR STUDENTS:

Regular Workshops and Seminars are arranged for our students – which includes proper use of the Internet and social networking sites, Guidance to apply for college/university admissions abroad, Model United Nations, United World College and D.E.A Programmes.

  1. MULTIMEDIA PROJECTOR FACILITY:

The application of this technological equipment is the most advanced and useful method of teaching strategy. Implementation of visual aid tools to conduct a lesson in an air-conditioned room promotes better deliverance of the lesson and proper learning.

  1. CULTURAL PROGRAMME:

The school has various yearly activities, such as an Annual Cultural Programme, Annual Milad, Science Fair, International Mother Language Day Function, Independence Day Function, Pohela Boishakh function, Victory Day Celebration, Graduation Ceremony, Class Parties, Educational Tours, Sports Day, Football and other sporting Tournaments.

  1. SCIENCE FAIR:

Science Fair is an essential part of an Education Programme. It is entirely an activity-based learning and development programme in a competitive format.

  1. ANNUAL SPORTS:

Our Campus is ideally structured with Indoor and Outdoor sport and Games faculties, namely– Football, Basketball, Handball, Athletics, Table Tennis, Chess and Carom. Playpen very successfully holds Tournaments (Inter School and Inter-Class) of every category in which our students enthusiastically and competitively take part. We also have our school Teams ( Boys and Girls) of every format of sports.

  1. HEALTH CENTER:

This is an absolute necessity to physically examine, attend to and provide emergency medical attention to our vulnerable and delicate young pupils round the clock during school hours. A medical officer is constantly on duty to treat any kind of illness, injury, or trauma issues of our dear students.

  1. STUDENT COMMON ROOM :

Our student Common Room is located on Level 8 where students of mostly Senior classes, pass their free or vacant periods during the school day. The arrangement is done in a way so as to allow students to relax, do their unfinished work, study, or simply interact quietly with fellow classmates. Teachers are also stationed there to monitor or just look into the needs of our dearest students.

  1. THE SCHOOL BOOKSHOP:

Students can buy books and exercise copies from our own bookshop. Parents collect the yearly books and copies at the beginning of every session. It remains open from 8:30 am till 1 pm.

  1. SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION :

Keeping the security and well-being of students in mind, Playpen had been operating its own school bus service since March 2014. To avail the bus service, Parents must apply in the Administrative Office.
